If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?
Join celebrated dance artist and choreographer Guillaume Côté and ProArteDanza’s Artistic Director Roberto Campanella for an online event that invites choreographers to revisit and reflect on past works.
May 31- June 25, 2021
ShineTheLight is a short interview documentary featuring Toronto BIPOC artists Miss Lyn, Pulga Muchochoma, T-BAI, and Gabriel Hudson. The artists share their experiences in contemporary dance, theatre, and music industries.
ProArteDanza is seeking experienced choreographers of all backgrounds, genders, religions, orientations and races to create a solo or duet that will be streamed virtually in the Summer of 2021. Since rehearsals are able to be held virtually, we are accepting local, national, and international applicants. We will select six pieces, up to five minutes in duration, to be created on ProArteDanza’s dancers and filmed site-specifically in found locations around Toronto.
ProArteDanza is a repertory contemporary-dance company driven by the principle: Passion in Performance. For 16 years, the company has shared this outlook with its growing and diverse audiences, students, and artists through performances, community engagement, and training programs in its home of Toronto and the GTA.
ProArteDanza’s vision is led by the dynamic team of Artistic Director Roberto Campanella and Artistic Associate, Robert Glumbek. Since its inception, ProArteDanza has garnered a reputation for producing performances of high artistic standards and production value while nurturing process and artistic development. Our mission is to bring excellence from the studio to the stage.
